Description

UNFORTUNATELY, THIS ITEM IS NO LONGER AVAILABLE.

More than six hours of electrifying World War II documentaries produced and directed by Frank Capra are accompanied by a bonus CD of wartime music in this three-DVD set.

Cased in a replica film can, the package includes Capra's Oscar-winning Prelude to War as well as Here Is Germany, The Battle of Britain, and the two-part Battle of Russia. The Nazis Strike (chronicling their first conquests in Europe) and Divide and Conquer (showing their propaganda machine and their blitzkrieg strategy) were co-directed with Anatole Litvak.

BONUS CD: Fighting For Freedom: The Big Band Sound That Kept America Swinging includes Glenn Miller's "A Nightingale Sang in Berkeley Square," Lena Horne's "Stormy Weather," Noël Coward's "The Last Time I Saw Paris," Marlene Dietrich's "Lili Marlene," and much more.
