You'd better hope that you have another legend standing in the wings ready to take over.
In 1941, Earle Graser, lead actor of The Lone Ranger radio program, was killed in a tragic car accident. Without missing a beat, the program's announcer, Brace Beemer, slipped into the lead role of the immensely popular program and became the actor most identified with radio's favorite western adventure.
Here are twenty digitally restored and remastered episodes of this beloved series, spanning Graser's last episodes as the heroic lead, the entire transition between the Graser and Beemer eras, and the first adventures of The Lone Ranger with Beemer in the starring role. This collection also includes an illuminating Program Guide by radio historian Elizabeth McLeod.
