Beloved comedian and vocalist Danny Kaye delighted audiences with his quirky variety show. Kaye, a famous fast-talker, boggled the minds of listeners as he performed amazing acts of verbal dexterity. For example, he could sing the names of 50 Russian composers in 30 seconds flat, and was known to include plays on his program in which he would perform every part by himself! Of course, he would draw others in to his skits and his silliness, as well. From January 6, 1945 to May 31, 1946, Kaye was joined by his talented co-stars Eve Arden and Butterfly McQueen, and a slew of big name guests including Jimmy Durante, Frank Sinatra, Judy Garland, George Burns, Gracie Allen, Carmen Miranda, and Orson Welles.
